The Claims:
Containing 9 patented ingredients to aid in “enormous weight loss”, Anoretix™ is doing a tremendous amount of online advertising these days. Their webpage opens with one of the most amazing weight loss claims ever: “I lost 12 pounds in 72 hours with Anoretix!” [alongside a picture of the bare midriff of a woman who may be anorexic (that may be the basis of the brand name).

The Directions:
Anoretix.com does not seem to have a section on the website that lays out the suggested dosage. Our reviewer was unable to call Anoretix for the information because the website does not have a phone number.

The Price:
$49.99 for a one month supply.

DAI’s Bottom Line:
Any competent review must begin and end with the claim that is made on every single page of their website. Losing 12 pounds in 72 hours (3 days) is dangerous to the body and has almost no chance of staying off. Apparently Anoretix™ agrees with our assessment as they bury a disclaimer on the bottom of the page telling customers that if they lose more than 1 pound per day to decrease the dosage. But no one seems to have told that to their spokesperson who lost 4 pounds per day for three days. When we tried to contact a Customer Service Representative to ask about this issue, we were thwarted by the fact that this is another Weight Loss website that does not have a single phone number to be found. We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Be very careful when you order from companies that do not put their phone numbers on the website. If they’re hiding from you, it probably has something to do with the product they just sold.

Tips to help enhance your weight loss:

1. Eat frequently and eat slowly. A safe and healthy way to lose weight is to eat smaller meals and to eat frequently throughout the day. This keeps your body’s metabolism working. Eating slowly gives our bodies time to tell us that they are full before we’ve eaten more than we need.

2. Eat more raw fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Eating unprocessed foods, fruits, vegetables and whole grains is best for your metabolism and will help aid in weight loss. Processed food contains toxins that are dangerous for our bodies and compromise the productivity of our digestive systems.

3. Increase exercise. With today’s busy schedules, it’s often not easy to increase the amount of exercise we do. However, you can make small incremental changes to your lifestyle to increase the amount of exercise you do such as taking the stairs instead of the escalator and walking instead of driving to local destinations. Try picking up an exercise routine to do at home if you do not have time to go to a gym. If you do exercise, make sure it is on a regular schedule and participate in both aerobic and strength building activities, so your body will begin to burn calories at a higher rate even after you’re done exercising.

4. Take it easy. When you are starting a new diet and exercise program make adjustments slowly and at a rate that your mind and body can work with. Sudden changes to diet and exercise are more likely to put you in a state of shock leading to discouragement and failure.
