  1. Drinking too many calories. Fancy coffees, alcoholic beverages and soft drinks can pack in the calories.  High calorie drinks do not curb hunger either.
  2. Drink lots of water.  Metabolism drags if you are dehydrated.  Try water flavored with fresh lemons. Also try to drink a cup of water with each meal and snack..
